This policy explains how Angel Eyes Unlimited LLC d/b/a PopGirly (“PopGirly,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, request a DJ, join the Academy waitlist, apply to our roster, or contact us.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect what you type into our forms:

Booking requests: name, email, phone number, event date and times, event type, venue and city, guest count, budget range, preferred DJ, and music notes.
Academy waitlist: name, email, experience level, goals, and the equipment you own.
Roster applications: name, email, city, genres, years of experience, event types played, links to your mixes and social media profiles, and your bio.
Contact messages: name, email, topic, and your message.
Member accounts: your email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form by our authentication provider), your answer to “Where are you on your DJ journey?”, whether you asked to receive Academy updates and news, and when you confirmed you are 18 or older and agreed to our Terms.
DJ and Music Maker profiles: everything you add to your profile: name, city, bio, genres, event types or roles, experience, credits, social links, photos, links to mixes, tracks, and videos, and updates you post. Approved profiles, including their photos and updates, are public on our website.

We also keep any emails, texts, or calls you exchange with us, and any information you share while we arrange a booking or enrollment.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the time of your visit. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and fix problems.

If you sign in to your account, we set cookies that keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary for the account to work and are not used for tracking.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

2. How we use your information

To respond to booking requests, check DJ availability, send quotes, and coordinate your event.
To review roster applications and contact applicants.
To manage the Academy waitlist and tell you when courses, workshops, or lessons open.
To show you a dashboard that fits your DJ journey, and to plan Academy classes and events.
To send Academy updates and PopGirly news, only if you opted in. You can opt out any time in My account or with the unsubscribe link.
To answer questions and provide customer support.
To operate, secure, and improve the website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We share it only as follows:

With DJs on our roster: when you request a booking, we share your event details with the DJ (or DJs) we are considering, so they can confirm availability and prepare. We share only what they need to do the job.
With service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, our database, sign-in, and file-storage provider (Supabase), and our email providers (Resend for website emails, Microsoft for our inbox). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PopGirly, our DJs, our clients, or others.
In a business transfer: if PopGirly is merged, acquired, or sells its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your consent, for example if you agree to let us feature your testimonial.

4. Embedded content and links

DJ profiles may include mixes and videos embedded from SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube, and Instagram, and links to social media. When you view or play embedded content, that service may collect information about you (including through its own cookies) under its own privacy policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where available.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. Please review their policies.

5. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. For example, we keep booking records for our business, tax, and legal records, and we keep waitlist details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

6. Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to:

Ask what personal information we have about you, or request a copy.
Correct information that is wrong.
Ask us to delete your information.
Stop receiving updates from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live (for example, California and several other U.S. states), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will honor these requests as required by law, and we will not treat you differently for making one. To make a request, email privacy@popgirly.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. You may also use an authorized agent where the law allows.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reputable service providers. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as payment card numbers or government IDs through our forms.

8. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Member accounts are for people 18 and older only. Anyone under 18 should use our forms only with a parent or guardian's permission. Academy enrollment for students under 18 requires a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@popgirly.com and we will delete it.

9. Visitors outside the United States

PopGirly is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you contact us from another country, you understand that U.S. privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will give more prominent notice.
